About Flowst
Why we’re building Flowst.
Our inspiration starts with the teenage years: growing interests, a search for belonging, and the desire to make more choices for yourself. Young people deserve a dedicated learning space that grows with them, with room to explore, build supportive communities, and recognise their developing ability to learn.
AI opens more possibilities to explore. Our goal is to give young people safe, guided ways to try them, question the responses they receive, and strengthen their own judgment. In classroom learning, educators set objectives, approve materials, and decide what comes next.
Flowst is the debut technology of SILT, a research-led interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving how people learn.

We want progress to be visible in what a learner can do. Across science, history, technology, creativity, and more, Flowst’s six AI learning companions help young people explore the ideas that shape how we think, live, and build. Each story invites learners to ask better questions, think more deeply, and build understanding in a world shaped by AI.

Parents and educators belong here as learners, too. Community begins with what people choose to share; private academic feedback stays private.

What is Flowst?
Flowst is a dedicated learning platform and community for young people to explore their curiosity, build understanding, and learn with others. AI guidance, educators, and parents support that journey, in and beyond the classroom.
Does Flowst replace teachers?
No. In Flowst School, teachers define objectives, review experiences, and retain authority over instructional decisions.
Who is Flowst for?
Young people who want room to follow their interests and find others to learn with. Educators who want to understand how learners are thinking. Parents who want to support learning beyond school. Parents and educators are also learners, with their own questions and interests to explore.
A new interest. A question after class. Something you want to make. We’re building a community where young people, parents, and educators can follow those threads and keep learning together.
